He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Long and Etta Pearl Long; and his brothers, Gerald Long, Ernest Long, Elbert Long and Floyd Long.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Long; his children, Shaun Long (Valerie) and Ava Hudish Brooks; and his siblings, William Long (Bill), Mary Neal, Ruby Blevins (Donald) and Joyce McKeithen (Vann). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ocala Springs Baptist Church (5000 NE 36th Avenue Rd, Ocala, FL 34479).
