She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Chappell of Lowell, FL; her children, Jacqueline Rodriguez (Apollo) of Ocala, FL, Dana Washington (Takela) of Ocala, FL, Rasheeda Shabazz of Summerville, SC and Kanisha Chappell of River Ridge, LA; her siblings, Carolyn Brown of Lowell, FL, Christine Washington of Ocala, FL and Johnnie Wilson (Jean) of Lowell, FL; and her siblings-in-law, Runette Jones of Ocala, FL, Lillie Chappell of Ocala, FL, Sallie Springer of Miami, FL, Donna Gale Chappell of Ocala, FL, Elvira Washington of Ocala, FL, Freddie Chappell of Ocala, FL and Robert Chappell of Sparr, FL. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A wake will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sellers Funeral Home, Inc. (440 SW Broadway St, Ocala, FL 34475). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church (3280 W Hwy 329, Reddick, FL 32686).
