With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elder Renee M Smith-Woodson (Ocala, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauree Rogers and Olin Smith; her brother Olin Charles; the father of her child Clarence Dixon; her husband Horace Woodson, Jr.; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Woodson and Jackie Woodson.
She is survived by: her children, Larianna Smith-Dixon, India Smith, Aretha Woodson, Horace Woodson, III and Shawanda Woodson; her sisters, Edna McGuire and Lisa Smith-Kelly; and her godson Ian Michel Williams. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Summers Funeral Home Chapel (2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, FL 34475). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Greater Grace Missionary Baptist Church (1865 NW 42nd St, Ocala, FL 34475).
