She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Hammonds and Berthina Riley; and her cousin Dolly Reed. She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Bagley (Ronald) and Nadine Gant (Bernard); her grandchildren, Terry Smith, Jr., Jayson Smith, Erica Reese, Jerry Steele (Shayla), Katrina Chisolm (Emmanuel), Leonard Steele (Lilyian), Alicia Oliver, Milton James, Ralth James, Lewanda Smith (Anthony) and Joel Pascal; her siblings-in-law, Raymond Wheeler (Vangela) and Annie Thompson; her godchildren, Mary, Otis Johnson, Tammy, Callis Mitchell and Katrina Smith; and her close friends, Doug, Melinda Monteith and Margaret Manning. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Summers Funeral Home Chapel (2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, FL 34475). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church (8792 NW 38th Avenue Rd, Ocala, FL 34482).
