He is survived by: his wife Donnagale Chappell of Ocala, FL; his children, Kibeelu Chappell and Ruben Chappell Jr.; his grandson Donnovan Watson; his siblings, Sallie M. Springer of Miami, FL, Lillie M. Chappell of Ocala, FL, Runette Jones of Ocala, FL, Gilbert Chappell Jr. (Gloria) of Lowell, FL, Robert Chappell of Sparr, FL and Freddie Chappell of Ocala, FL; and his sister-in-law Hattie Colbert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Summers Funeral Home Chapel (2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, FL 34475). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Green Pasture Worship Center (1818 NW Old Blitchton Rd, Ocala, FL 34475).
