He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ash and Alice Ash (Richards); and his brothers, Gene Ash and J. L. Ash. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Ash; his sons, Kevin G. Ash (Jill), Ken L. Lee (Pamela) and Clermont; his siblings, Sue Conrad (Arthur), Sarah Greek (Jerry) of East Dublin, GA, Stanley Ash (Jeanette) and James Ash; his grandchildren, Christie, Alisa, Acea and Ally; and his great grandchildren, Martin, Jaxson, Ezra, Ember and Lilly.
