She was predeceased by: her father Charles Henry; her children, Jerry, Ferlin Cochran, Donna and Robin Freeman; and her siblings, Charles Clark, Jr., Robert Clark, Edith Hunter and Ilean Speer.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Freidell (Joe), Rhonda White, Johnny Cochran (Barbie) of Oak Hill and Ronnie Cochran of Oak Hill; her siblings, Edward "Man" Clark (Sandie) of Oak Hill, Vergie Clark of Oak Hill and Gayle Freeman (Johnny) of Mims; and her husband John Benton. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; numerous great and great, great grandchildren.
