He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Ruth Perry and William Franklin Mathews II; and his sister Susan Mathews Hough. He is survived by: his wife Lana; his daughters, Lisa Soep (Matthew) of Groveland and Melinda Rizzo (Anthony) of Geneva, Florida; his grandchildren, Harrison, Luke, Hunter, Melissa Soep, Samantha and Ryan Rizzo; and his siblings, Mary Mathews Leonard (Don) of Huntsville, Alabama and John Mathews (Debbie) of Tavares, Florida..
