He is survived by: his parents, Wilfred Joseph Willette and Julia Baines Helke; his children, Bruce Richard Willette and Leigh Ann Rainey; his significant other Molly McCulloch; and his grandchildren, John Freeman Rainey, Ann Louise Crichton Rainey, Katharine Alexis Willette and Evelyn Anne Willette.
