He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Asuncion Marte and Jose Prudencio Mejía; his son Edward Mejía; his siblings, Nelson Mejía and Crisálida Mejía; his wife Dominica Lucia Rosario of Mejía; his children, Evelyn Mejía Almánzar (Ramon), Giovanni Mejía (Sheila), George Mejía (Paula), Mildred Mejía, Carlos (Bernardo) and Magaly Mejía Griffith (Kentson Sr.); his sister Cruz Maria Mejía Marte; and his grandchildren, Biscayne, Followed and Ramon. He was also cherished by great grandchildren, nephews and many cherished family members.
