He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Melnyk; and his sister Luba Malisz. He is survived by: his siblings, John Melnyk (Steffa), Mary Diack, Helena Shulewsky (Michael), Walter Melnyk (Wanda) and Sophie Vigue (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and family.
