He was predeceased by: his father Raymond "Dick" Irwin. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Irwin; his son Matthew S. Irwin (Melanie); his stepchildren, Shannon K. Stone and Stephen A. Hicks (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Hannah, Hayden, Warren, Quinn and Lavinia; his mother Patsy M. "Patty" Irwin; and his siblings, Randall L. Irwin (Kathe), Laura L. Mitchell (Emery) and Jeffrey G. Irwin (Christy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a charitable donation or act of service be made in honor of Steve.
