He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Anne Cooper (George); and his son Gordon Cooper Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Jan-Louise Leonard; his grandsons, Michael Leonard (Lauren) and Mark Leonard (Brittany); his nephews, Bruce Bartlett (Gail), Richard Bartlett (Janna) and Robert Bartlett (Heidi); and his niece Dr. Cynthia Book (Paul). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church (3395 Burns Rd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410).
