He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Fischer and Frieda Fischer; his sister Esther; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel and Julian.
He is survived by: his children, Steven (Alba), Randi and Karen (Bryan); his wife Eileen; his son Ron (Robin); his grandchildren, Kevin, Jason (Tricia), Letty (Oscar), Quin (Lucy) and April (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Timothy, Teresa, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Luke and Dante.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Kidney Foundation.
