With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eric Winston Wellington of North Lauderdale, Florida, born in Portland, Oregon, who passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 67. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Arlene Murdock, Jerome Wellington, Simone Sutherland, Khadene James, Cassandra Wellington, Damar Wellington, Cherisse Wellington and Eric Wellington; his grandchildren, Ashley, Llosandra, Horace, Hayle, Niyle, Meliya, Liam, Luke, Calvin and Layna; his brother Norris Laidley; his aunts and uncles, Neville, Walter Raffington, Iverine, Joyce, Ilrette and Urma Raffington; his mother Miriam Wellington; his granddaughters, Shanika and Siyan; and his great grandchild Arianna.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Plantation United Methodist Church (1001 NW 70th Ave, Plantation, FL 33313). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068).
