He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert Paul Charney, George Eugene Charney and Charles Joseph Charney; his nephew Stephen Paul "Steve" Charney; his great-nephew Christopher Michael Charney; and his parents, Stephen Charney and Anna Charney.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his daughter Alison; and his grandson Alex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
