She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Biery and William Biery; her husband William Otis Payne III; and her pet Buddy. She is survived by: her close friend Nova; her niece Andrea Wilson (Stephen); her nephew Albert "Butch" Labrozzi; and her cousin Terry Weida (Susan).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maggi's memory may be made to New Horizons Service Dogs, and READing Paws.
