He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Laverty (Taylor) and Frank Ross Laverty. He is survived by: his wife Martha Studnicka; his son J. T. Laverty; his granddaughters, Lucille and Violet Swartz; his siblings, Colleen Moses (Dale), Peggy Medler (Bryan), Eric Laverty, Pat Swihart (George) and Kathy Reed (Herb); and his brother-in-law Tom Studnicka (Patti). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
