He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta McGinley (Rafferty) and James L. McGinley; his brother James McGinley; and his parents-in-law, Mary and Stanley Van Ostrand.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey R. McGinley of Nokomis Fl; his daughter Kelly; his son-in-law John Mecca of Kennedyville, MD; his son Tom; his daughter-in-law Lynn McGinley of Friendswood, TX; and his grandchildren, Mary Mecca-Miner, Andrew Miner, John Mecca (Jack), Colin McGinley and Megan McGinley.
