She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Scovie and John Scovie; her husband Willard Leslie Summers; and her siblings, Dorothy, John and Robert.
She is survived by: her children, Marjory Barksdale of Nokomis, FL and John Franklin of Burr Ridge, IL. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
