He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Forrest Lee Minix Sr. and Lillie Belle Summer; his children, Susan Felker and Lynn Francis (Charles); his stepdaughter Kim Shamroe; his sister Janet Roberts; his grandchildren, Lee Francis, Ashley Francis, Lane Francis, Carrie Francis, Jenna Meeks, Matthew Meeks, Danielle Shamroe and Zachery Shamroe; his great grandchildren, Ethan Meeks, Elise Meeks, Haylee Holcombe and Eliza Francis; his brother Col. Thomas Minix; and his wives, Mary Minix Davis and Alene Osborne Minix.
