We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy Garman (Nokomis, Florida), born in Plainfield, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brothers, Charles Covey and Richard Covey. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Kur (Boguslaw) of Port Charlotte, FL, Kathryn Troy of Shallotte, NC, Dorothy Platt of Nokomis, FL, William Freeman of Cape Coral, FL and Robert Freeman (Dawn) of Morris, IL; and her brother Carl Covey (Helen) of Bellevue, NE. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.

“There wasn't a sweeter or more loving person than Dot. Don Smith always spoke so highly of her when he was in Las Vegas and when my husband Bill and I moved to Fl we were delighted to finally meet her. After Don passed away we became close friends and loved sharing memories of our times in the Eagles. Now that my husband too has passed , I can only think they are all happily together again. I will miss your sweet smile and loving hugs that was shared every time we met. Rest in Peace JoAnn H”
