He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Cooper and Maxine Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his brother Loren Kenneth Cooper; his nephew Robert; his niece Sandi; his stepsons, Michael (Wendy), Patrick, John "Jack" (Kathy) and Kevin; and his grandchildren, Ali (Nathan), Ian (Cynthia), Abigail and Keegan.

The family asks that any donations in David's name be given to Tidewell Hospice of Venice.
