He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hartness, Sr. and Faye Hartness of Hope Mills, NC.; and his brothers, Gary and Michael Hartness. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hartness; his daughters, Heather Bodiford and Holy Bradshaw (Matt); his grandchildren, Alex, Ana Czajkowski, Sam Bodiford and River Bradshaw; and his brothers, Skipper Hartness (Patricia) and Alton Hartness.
