She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard M. Vass; her parent Judson Watson Sr.; her grandmother Elizabeth Morris Watson; and her siblings, Frances Barfield, Judson Watson Jr., Edsel Watson and Fred Watson.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie, Deborah A. Roper Ginger (Bill), Vanessa V. Davis (Elmer) and Scott M. Vass (Michelle); her granddaughter Alyson Ruth Davis-Eudy (Alex); and her siblings, Clovis Rowland, Iris Frost, Ray Watson, Lynn Watson and Linda Gormany. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's honor to the First Baptist Church of Niceville Building Fund.
