He was predeceased by: his wife Betsy Hughes Ray; his son Steven Lee Ray; his grandchildren, Robert Ray Jr. Elizabeth (Teena), Nicole Munn (Gardner), Lauren Dahlenberg (Josh) and Kaden Ray; and his great grandchildren, Graham and Natalie Munn.
