She is survived by: her father Niles Getz (Rita); her husband Ron Whitfield; her daughters, Natalie and Nicole; her mother Ettie Lee Hatt Getz; and her brothers, Harry Getz (Nora) and Ian Getz (Yprianne).

Nelly's passion in life was raising their daughters and especially making sure they were raised with a strong foundation in the knowledge and love of God.
