He is survived by: his children, Gage, Eden and Ethan; his grandchild Axtyn; his parents, J. Sam Morter (Karen) of Tampa and Julie Yorks Morter of Niceville; and his siblings, Jeff, Jim, Stephanie, Samantha and Sarah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and an extended list of cousins.

The family suggests donations of memorial trees.
