He is survived by: his sons, James Randall Hicks, Ronald Wayne Hicks (Tara), Daniel Rubin Hicks (Shannon) and Shane Rendell Hicks (Kristen); his grandchildren, Morgan, Colton, Travis, Sambo (Shane) of Chase, JR, Landon, Avery of Abby, AJ and Carleigh; his great grandchildren, Dawson and Naomi; and his siblings, Larry Hicks (Thelma), Walter Hicks and Brenda Runge (Bob). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews, great-great-nieces, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rosemont Baptist Church (1601 27th St, Niceville, FL 32578). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Heritage Gardens Cemetery (2201 Partin Dr N, Niceville, FL 32578).
