He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Irene Thompson (Kautz); his wife Kathy Thompson (Hertling); his stepfather Art Pleidrup; and his siblings, Dale, Janice, Vernon and Vera.
He is survived by: his daughter Terrie Harris (Henry); his grandson Ellis; his daughter Jodi Castillo (Victor); his grandsons, Sam and Bryan; his sister Edna Fox; his sisters-in-law, Alice Thompson and Cindy Hertling; and also, Dave and Kathy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
