He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl and Eula Youngstrom; and his brother Nurmi. He is survived by: his wife Francine Martin; his daughters, Rebecca Lovely (Ed) of Williston, Karen Bullock (Fred) of Tallahassee and Ingrid James (Jeff) of Baton Rouge; and his grandchildren, Emily Lovely, Craig Lovely (Nicole), Theresa Bullock (Tracy), Angela Poppewell (Ty), Jordan James (Alison Rone), Kelly James (Kayla Cucullu) and Austin James.

“We loved getting to know Ralph at the Atrium in Gainesville. We shared many meals with him in the dining room and enjoyed hearing his stories of his childhood, his Navy days, his working life, and his children and grandchildren. He had a great smile and an upbeat sense of humor. He introduced us to banana sandwiches, something we had never heard of. When he couldn't find something on the menu he fancied, he'd order up a banana sandwich. And was provided one! He will be.missed!,”
