He is survived by: his wife Joyce P. Jones; his son Daniel; his grandson Dylan; his sister Wanda Gay Laird; his sister-in-law Roy Palmer; and also, Karen Palmer of Cumberland and Rhode.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church and/or Haven Hospice 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606.
