He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett George Smith and Florence Ella McCann Smith; his wife Beulah Wynnelle Poole Smith; and his siblings, Helen Louise Smith of New Orleans, LA and Emmett George Smith Jr. of McComb, MS.
He is survived by: his cousin Lamar Massey; his children, Debra McCrary of New Smyrna Beach and William E. Smith of DeLand; his granddaughter Jordan Smith Carnegis (Nicholas); and his great grandchildren, Jack and Mason Carnegis of Orlando. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
