We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2024, at the age of 84, Valerie Sullivan Ruwwe of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, born in Crookston, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fries and Fern Fries (Capistran); her husbands, Bob Sullivan and Vern Ruwwe; her son Gregg Sullivan; her siblings, Ron Fries (Conny), Francis Fries (Marylee), Eileen Fries Wilkins (Earl) and Dolores Fries Welch; and her brother-in-law George Deckon.

She is survived by: her son Jeff Sullivan (Ellie); her grandsons, Josh and Brandon Sullivan; her siblings, Linda Fries Deckon of Marietta, GA, Gregg Fries (Georgine) of Colorado Springs, CO and Jim Fries (Mary) of Victoria, MN; her stepdaughter Jan Young (Bruce) of Kansas City, MO; her stepgranddaughter Angela Edminster (Carter); her stepgreat-granddaughter Kaylee Ann Hunter of Overland Park, KS; and her close friend Mike Novack. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
