He is survived by: his spouse Jean Hall of Tampa; his brother Sam Childs (Sandy); his children, Richard Childs (Beth) and Karen Childs Griffiths (Joseph); his grandsons, Robert Childs (Veronica), Michael Childs (Yaritza) and Scott Childs (Tabitha); and his great grandchildren, Bella Childs, Kaylan Childs, Avery Childs, Rylie Childs, Sadie Childs and Noah Childs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Joe P. Burns Funeral Home (1400 N Johnson Stripling Rd, Perry, FL 32347). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to sendrelief.org, a disaster relief ministry of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention which assisted Taylor county residents during the recent hurricanes or to Habitat for Humanity.
