He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude L. (Ruth Wright Adams) and Phillip; and his brothers, Hilton and Horace. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Jay Adams (Stephanie) of Thorton and Joshua Adams of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Nathan Adams of Thorton, Colorado, Landen Adams of Thorton, Colorado, Declan Adams of Thorton, Colorado and Haydon Adams of DeLand; and his siblings, Leonard, Julie (David), Wanda, Sonya, Mary, Sam and Jon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to WKTO.net, 900 Old Mission Road, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168; in order to create a peaceful prayer pathway around WKTO.
