With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph E. Knight of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, born in Perry, Florida, who passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Melvin (Alice Mae Chesser Knight) and Joseph; his wife Dortha; and his sister Pauline Hyatt. He is survived by: his children, Linda Braun (Jerold) of Port Orange, Paul Knight (Darci) of New Smyrna Beach and Joseph L. Knight (Nancy) of Seminole, Florida; and his brother Carroll Knight of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to White Church Chapel Church of God or Warner Christian Academy, 1730 South Ridgewood Avenue, South Daytona, Florida 32119.
