He was predeceased by: his parents, Donna Hurley and James Cheatham Jr.; and his son Dean Murdoch. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Cheatman "Howe"; his brother Jack Whatley; his son James Murdoch; his grandchildren, Dean Murdoch and Juliet Richdale; his great grandchildren, Nora and Abigail Richdale; his stepson Erik Labuza; and his stepgranddaughter Shannon Labuza. He is also survived by his family, friends.
