He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy, children Dawn, Laura, David, and Sarah, grandchildren Cheryl, Christina, Steve, Julie, Thomas, and Nicholas, and great-grandchildren Amber, Sabrina, SJ, and Lexi, as well as sisters, Jennifer and Rita, and a niece, Janet. Thomas, born July 6, 1938, served his country with honor in the Navy before dedicating his life to his family and friends. His unwavering commitment to those he loved was evident in every aspect of his life.
One of Thomas's fondest traditions was bringing joy to the hearts of children during Christmas by donning the iconic red suit and becoming Santa Claus himself. His warm and caring spirit touched the lives of many as he spread holiday cheer and created lasting memories for generations to come. A man of deep faith, Thomas was a devoted member of his church, where he found solace, strength, and a sense of community. His commitment to his spiritual beliefs was a guiding force throughout his life, shaping the way he interacted with others and leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Thomas Lewandowski will be remembered not only for his service to his country but also for the love and joy he brought to the lives of his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be deeply missed. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 11:30am-1pm at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Thomas'. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place with military honors on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:30am at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas' name to St. Jude's or the Wounded Warrior Project.
