She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hawk and Alice Layman Hawk; her former husband Carl Robert Whipkey; her husband Richard Newcomer, Sr.; her daughters, Penny and Harriet Whipkey; and her brothers, Larry, Lester and Danny Walker.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Whipkey (Terri), Dale Whipkey and Richard "D. J." Newcomer; and her siblings, Elma Albright of Mill Run, Carson Walker (Marion) of Alverton and Harry Hawk (Rhoda) of Three Springs. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
