As your assigned instructor for Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer school in Elizabeth City, N.C., or working for you when you were the shop Chief in Aguadilla, P.R., there were guaranteed laughs to be had if you were around. And the ultimate honor was having you as my best man when I got married March 30, 1997. My wife Luz still remembers your engaging sense of humor, and I will always treasure our friendship.
