With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Joseph Baumbich (New Port Richey, Florida), born in Oak Park, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Thekla Nickle of Alzheimer's Disease; his children, Barbara Carter (Brad Forner), Michelle Gray (Randy), Gregory Baumbich (Karen) and Eric Baumbich (Lindsay); and his grandchildren, Keith Carter (Hannah), Nicole Carter, Nicholas Baumbich (Helen), Scott Baumbich, Rachel Baumbich, Ryan Baumbich, James Gray and Corey.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brewer & Sons Funeral Home Michels and Lundquist Chapel (5228 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34652). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brust Funeral Home (135 S Main St, Lombard, IL 60148).
He also served on the Board of Directors and/or served as President for both the Tool and Manufacturing Association (7 years) and Concordia University Foundation (9 years).
