It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Delores Jean Perdue Thompson of Neptune Beach, Florida, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Perdue and Delta Hale Perdue; and her sisters, Joy Sue Perdue Hager, Shirley Perdue Hager, JoAnn Perdue Petty and Carole Kay Perdue.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Thompson; her daughters, Cindy Thompson Anderson and Missy Thompson Clapp (Rob); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Anderson Slobodian (Joe), Alexis Anderson McLaughlin (Darren), Christopher Clapp (Kelly), Eric Clapp and Bobby Anderson (Amber); her great grandchildren, Reed, Avery, Haven Anderson, Joanne Melissa Clapp and Calli Ann Anderson; her siblings, Donna Perdue Sheppard (Malcolm) and Tom Perdue (Tammy); and her siblings-in-law, Gene Thompson (Tom Serdar) and Marsha Thompson Bonham.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the East Pointe Church (270 Kernan Blvd N, Jacksonville, FL 32225). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
