He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pineau and Bernadette Pineau; and his sister Suzanne. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Brad Pineau (Briana), Meredith Fahy (Darren), R. Brian Pineau (Kelsey) and Elizabeth Hamilton (Ryan); his grandchildren, Brady, Clara, Parker, Brooke and Rose; and his siblings, Mary Redman, Therese Robishaw (Harry), Donald Pineau, Gabrielle Pineau, Sara Mydlack (Thomas) and Joseph Pineau (Deborah). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
