He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Haverkamp (Rudy) of Eddyville, KY.; his granddaughters, Erica Bangit (JR) of Wesley Chapel, FL and Laura Madlangbayan of Riverview, FL.; his sisters-in-law, Diane Grunert and Doris Barrett (Phil); his former wife Christa Grunert of Illinios; his caregiver Leticia Lima; his brother Herb Grunert; his former wife Lee Gilmore Grunert; and his stepdaughter Julie Grunert (Marlene Heeman) of Naples, FL..

He was most proud of finding donations to send over 1, 050 kids to Christian Salvation Army camps over the years.
