She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Purdy, Sr. and Effie Elrod Purdy; her husband Charles M. Berger; and her brother John Robert Purdy, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cary Berger (Lauren Zuckerman), Elizabeth Berger and Valerie (Daniel Fred); and her grandchildren, Hazel, Eleanor, Cooper, Rowan, Naomi, Caleb and Cameron.
