With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eloise Kaplan of Naples, Florida, who passed away on November 25, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eloise Kaplan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Schmitzer and Bertha Schmitzer; and her grandson Alex. She is survived by: her husband Elliot Kaplan; her children, Jed Stillman (Debbie), Scott Stillman, Jane Kirshbaum (David), Cindy Kaplan (Marc Weisskopf) and Peter Kaplan (Jessica); her grandchildren, Sophie, Samuel, Grace "Gigi", Max, Ezra, Abby (Jeremiah), Zoe, Noah, Mira, Micah, Daryn and Asher; her siblings, Bil Schmitzer and Pennie Shapiro; her brother-in-law Howard Kaplan (Diane); her niece Beth Shapiro (Scott Boscapomi); and her nephews, Dan Shapiro (Nikki), Joshua Kaplan (Jenny Roosa), Seth Kaplan (Rory) and David Kaplan (Marci).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Temple Israel (2323 Fremont Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55405). A shiva was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to NC Little Hospice.
