He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Pierson (DeBolt) and Paul Pierson; his former wife Barbara Pierson; his son Timothy Pierson; his brother Robert Pierson; his brother-in-law Stanley Olson; and his nephew Kent Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Kate Thompson; his daughter Robin (Duane Barber); his grandchildren, Anne Barber (Pete Nessa), Jane Barber, Paul Pierson, Fort Massay (Courtney) and Tom Barber (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Jimmy, Molly, Joe Nessa, Amelia, Charlie Pierson, Grey, Remy Massay, Theo and Parker Barber; and his sister-in-law Margaret Olson.
