He was predeceased by: his son Richard Claflin; his parents, Daniel Mastrocola and Mary Mastrocola (Camerario); and his siblings, Elizabeth Vecchione, Richard Mastrocola, Jeannette Mastrocola and Linda Mastrocola.

He is survived by: his wife Norma "Hayward" "Claflin" Mastrocola of Naples, Florida.; his children, Joy Anastasi, Denise (Patrick Coppola), Thomas (Nancy Claflin) and Eugene "Geno" (Paula Claflin); his grandchildren, Ryan, Cristina, Briana (Naziold), Michelangelo, Michael (Nicole), Geana, Andrew and Amanda (Donald); his great grandchildren, Ren, Naz, Nora, Timothy, Farrah, Ryan and Brennan; and his brother Albert (Victoria Mastrocola).
