He was predeceased by: his parents, John McGonigal (Jack) and Irene Lindstrom; and his brother Michael McGonigal. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kay McGonigal; his children, Bryan McGonigal (Malgorzata) and Melissa McGonigal Berry (Steve); his grandchildren, Alexander James McGonigal (AJ), Isabella Sloane Berry and Rory Finnegan Berry; his stepchildren, Rhonda Miller (Jimmy), Bridget Lester, Linda Lester and Nate Lester (Kathy); his grandchildren, Alexis Scaggs, Lauren Adkins, MaKayla Lester, George Walter, Nathan Lester, Ethan Miller, Ivan Lester, Robert Lester, Leanna Lester and Brianna Lester; and his great grandchildren, Greysan and Harvey.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hodges Funeral Home of Naples Memorial (525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shelter for Abused Women & Children of Naples, FL (see links below).
